Former Employee - Barista

I worked at Stumptown Coffee Corp part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

This has been a great place to work for years.

Cons

None, really. Really enjoyed working here.

Current Employee - Current Employee

I have been working at Blue Bottle Coffee full-time for more than a year

Pros

Blue Bottle is expanding into new markets and growing its footprint in existing ones. That activity has opened amazing opportunities for all Blue Bottlers, from Baristas moving to new cities and... earning rapid promotions to HQ team members flexing into new roles with high impact projects. Also, while a lot of hubbub was made about the Nestle deal, I’ve noticed very little meddling from their company. Blue Bottle has preserved its own special culture and seems to be a company that Nestle aspires to be more like, especially on sustainability. It’s fun to see our own little Oakland company having such an impact on one of the world’s largest organizations!

Cons

We only recently had guiding principles / core values rolled our. I’m glad we have them now though!
