I worked at TaxAudit full-time for more than 3 years
Although I no longer work at TAC, I can tell you that this company easily has one of the best if not most competitive benefits package. They cover all health insurance for employees and their... families ESOP/ 401k Annual bonuses Lots of parties Great culture Exceptionally talented colleagues Everyone is treated with respect There is no hand-holding when it comes to tech assistance The company promotes empowerment for their users Encourages knowledge sharing Stable company Always using cutting edge technology Office is really nice and has a gym Excellent location for food and amenities Unfortunately, due to the size of the company the reason I left was due to no room for upward mobility. I had amazing and supportive teammates. All the skills I gained from my tenure at TAC have translated into amazing opportunities as well and for that I am very grateful. I cannot comment on Jake Sindt as the CEO as he was not a CEO when I was still employed. However, Mark, Nancy, Dave, and Jane were amazing leaders. They really made an impact in what I look for in companies that I choose to work for. Not exactly a con, but an observation - for my role, the pay was a little below market value. However, with consideration to the whole package which includes benefits, ESOP, and retirement that could balance out the wage issue.
There were some tension within certain departments among leads which led to passive aggressiveness. It was always a struggle to make everyone happy, deliver in a timely manner, and make sure things... went smoothly. The company overall is very transparent, but some leads weren't as transparent with how they wanted to handle things. So if something wasn't done a certain way it felt like my teammates and I were walking on eggshells sort to speak. Hopefully, that has improved since my departure.
Advice to Management
My only advice is to keep the positive culture alive. Continue to value your employees and customers. When I was still employed I was aware of folks in the Audit Department who were feeling burned... out. Please help address this issue. If you want to continue to retain talent there must be a way to help ease these pain points. Help them help you, I think it would be a win-win situation.
I have been working at Optima Tax Relief full-time for less than a year
-I get to have a life outside of work! No long hours and stressing about work constantly. The scheduling is great - They act on the things they say they will do. Its never just an idea or dream......They make it a reality! - Family oriented and very inclusive for even the shyest of people. They really know how to make everyone comfortable - Always something going on that's great. potlucks, games, movie days, off-sites, etc.
I dont have any cons. This company is GREAT!!!

None! Keep doing what you're doing! My TL is amazing and he strives for greatness. hes a goal pusher #stayhungry
