Former Intern - Fellow

I worked at Teach for America

Pros

Work with diverse educational organizations, work was challenging, excellent team-building and professional development

Cons

I would have preferred the fellowship to be longer or the number of projects reduced to two

"GOOD"Aug 12, 2020

Current Intern - AmeriCorps Member

I have been working at City Year for less than a year

Pros

You learn a lot about yourself, The kids have a lot of talent to bring to the table its the school system that is messed up. You will learn to advocate for those students

Cons

It's not a good job if you hate / not used to children. Pay is low and it's long hours. Writing Mandated reports maybe 3/ 4 times a week
