Working for the largest candy company in the US (based on annual revenue), is exciting, challenging, and always keeps you on your toes. The brands you have the privilege to represent are bar none.... The corporate HQ's was moved into a former Hershey factory and the interior looks like something out of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
The company's priorities align to hitting Wall Street expectations, usually led by demand planning forecasts. This often creates friction on the retailer/customer-facing teams when they have... opportunities to increase sales, but are told the product is not available--leading to market share insecurities and (sometimes) contentious relationships with the retailer buyers.
Advice to Management
Encourage the supply chain team to take risks in order to allow for increased sales. You'll beat your Wall Street forecasts and grow market share as a result,
