Current Employee - Customer Care Specialist

I have been working at The Mark Travel Corporation full-time for less than a year

Pros

This team is on top of their game! They know exactly who they want to hire and ensure that the process is painless. From the initial phone call with the recruiter, Lindsay, to new hire paperwork.......you are informed and welcomed with open arms.

Cons

I can't think of any.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board full-time for more than a year

Pros

Laid back atmosphere, friendly coworkers, collaborative environment and friendly culture that tries hard to please its employees. Upper management is trying hard to make this organization world-class... and the best in the business. Many departments are at the top of their game in the tourism marketing industry. It feels good to work for a company at the top of its game. Benefits like 401k plan and insurance and vacation are top notch, competitive with other top companies.

Cons

It takes a long time — months — to hire and fill a slot, sometimes making it counterproductive. Salaries are moderate, although management says it’s competitive. Don’t expect to get rich working here.... Instead, work here for the pleasure of making a difference for the city of Los Angeles, and as the brand ambassador for one of the greatest cities in the world. Not many jobs in Los Angeles carry this kind of power.

Advice to Management

You’re doing a good job of making this company better. I see the rapid improvement and high quality of people you hire. Good job.
