I worked at The Sacramento Bee
Pros
Sacramento Bee really cares about the interns. They host weekly lunches with journalists and McClatchy execs with free lunch. It's also in a nice place. The editors who are still left are really good... people
Cons
Lots of people were being laid off when I was there, and morale is probably not on the upswing. Pay was not great, but then again, it's a journalism internship.
Advice to Management
Update the SacBee site so it doesn't look like it was made in 2003.

Cons
So far no cons for BVM!
