Current Employee - Senior User Experience Designer

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Dedicated team members, passionate interdisciplinary design team. Supportive management. Positive outlook for growth. Interesting and impactful problems to solve with design.

Cons

As a company made up of many acquired business units, it can be challenging to integrate design well within the many different business units and locations. The team is growing rapidly (which is a... good), but this also leads to a lot of disorganization, moving targets for success and unanswered questions about how design will be scaled effectively and efficiently within the much much larger global organization.

I worked at Lyreco

Pros

fellow coworkers made for a good atmosphere

Cons

so many service problems it made it impossible to sell

Advice to Management

change the structure and the senior management
