Former Intern - Intern

I worked at U.S. Office of Personnel Management

Pros

Very friendly staff, good pay

Cons

Long hr process, nothing else really

Current Employee - Director's Financial Analyst

I have been working at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau full-time for more than a year

Pros

- Excellent pay for government - Motivated and talented peers both specific to the Director's Financial Analyst (DFA) program and around the CFPB - Rotational program with experience opportunities... - Great location - Fantastic graduate school and follow-on placement

Cons

- Longer hours than 9-5 somewhat expected - Direct supervisors can be hit and miss - Not much performance pay or promotion opportunity

Advice to Management

Provide more extra programming ,training, and travel opportunities for analysts
