Advice to Management

I can’t say nothing but good things about the management, UDR is a great company to work at

Current Employee - General Manager

I have been working at Equity Residential full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

I have been with Equity in Washington DC for almost 7 years, and I must say, it is the best Property Management company that I have worked for in my 14 years in the industry. Equity and its... Leadership, especially in the DC Metro Market, really cares about their employees and goes above and beyond to show how much we are appreciated. Even during COVID, the organization went out of its way to make sure that each and every one of us were taken care of. Senior Leadership, as well as local Leadership truly cares about what each employee has to say. From various listening sessions, thought exchanges, quarterly surveys and more, Equity always wants to know how their people are and what they can do to make our experience better. And given the uncertainty the past 18 months have brought upon the entire world, I never once doubted that Equity had my back. Thank You for all that you do for each of us. It does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated!

Cons

I would say that the only downside is that employees tend to stay with the organization for long time, so certain positions do no open up as frequently as some would like.
