Current Employee - Senior Network Engineer

I have been working at US Army full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

The Army is a great place to gain experience and learn a great deal in both life lessons and federal and industry interactions.

Cons

demanding and has the capability of being both physically and mentally stressful

I have been working at Royal Australian Navy

Pros

Stable employment with a really good level of employer super contributions. Good options for professional development.

Cons

Not for those people who do not like extended periods away from home- obviously this depends on specialisation but can be onerous on relationships.
