Current Employee - Officer

I have been working at US Marine Corps part-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Camaraderie, leadership and sense of purpose

Cons

Violence, sometimes uncritical look at work experience (unnecessarily long hours, "toughness" and machismo), impersonal at times

Advice to Management

Do what you can to lessen centralized leadership; keep enfranchising local commanders. (i.e., quit the knee jerk, zero-defect mentality reactions)

Former Intern - Intern

I worked at MWRD of Greater Chicago for less than a year

Pros

Amazing and once you're in you will want to stay there till the rest of your life

Cons

very hard to get in
