Current Employee - Home Office

I have been working at Uncommon Schools full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Management is approachable and genuine. Anyone dissing management didn't assert themselves obviously because Uncommon's management team wants you to be happy, wants to pay you well, wants you to... succeed! Being happy at your job reflects in your work and everyone else benefits, especially the kids! Generous time off that includes two weeks around the holidays, PAID, in addition to all of your other time that you get off. Friendly, smart and funny people to work with. I love working here!

Cons

Would like more attention paid to job longevity (i.e. maybe a nice bonus or something?). Loyal employees should be celebrated more often.

Advice to Management

Don't forget the J-Factor in this serious work we do!

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Explore Schools full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

As an employee of Explore Schools for over 5 years, I can honestly say I've never worked in a more supportive, dedicated work environment. I've loved expereincing how hard work & expectations... translate into significant growth in student achievement, and on a personal level, as a working mom, it's been wonderful to work for colleagues that value work/life balance.

Cons

You're held to high expectations, which can be a pro or a con... :)
