Featured Review

Current Employee - IT Program Manager

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time

Pros

Culture seems to be a high priority for the company (Stems from Wickman & Hemsley, which is good) and the benefits are decent (Including the ESOP)

Cons

Nothing hug. Internal politics, which is usual for a company this size. Some areas there are career advancement challenges, which again is usual for a company this size. Overall it's a good place to... work and build a career

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work.

Current Employee - Marketing Team Leader

I have been working at Blue Shield Of California full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

The leadership team at Blue Shield CA is one of the best I've ever worked with been a part of. They are mission driven, team oriented, transparent, honest, and create an environment that really... appreciates work life balance and the person. Rather than promoting better work life balance, they actually live it.

Cons

Healthcare is complicated and it's not an industry for the faint of heart or those who like a slow-change pace. The industry is constantly transforming given the importance of healthcare to our... customers, our employees and all Americans, and we need talent ready and willing to take healthcare into the future and for the better.

Advice to Management

While you may only be one company within a big pond of healthcare providers, stay focused and make a difference. If you succeed, others will follow.
