Current Employee - Adjunct Professor of Cinematic Arts

I have been working at University of Southern California part-time for more than 8 years

Pros

It's the best film school in the world in terms of the quality of the students, the experience of the professors, and the connections to the industry.

Cons

Salaries for adjunct faculty are low. Adjunct professors are also expected to be working entertainment industry professionals. For many on the faculty, the salary is a tiny fraction of their yearly... income. For those to whom the salary matters, it can feel insulting - USC doesn't even pay for parking. An adjunct can expect to pay $15 every time they drive to teach a class. (Just as an example)

Advice to Management

Invest a little more in people, and a little less in fancy technologies.

"Tutor"Jun 10, 2018

Pros

Cons

1 hr lesson plans can be challenging
