I worked at Rainmaker for 4 years and I have to say they were one of the best 4 years of my professional life. The organization helped me grow on so many levels both professionally and personally.... The team members are incredibly smart and there is a culture of learning and growth overall. There is something about this organization that teaches it's employees to put the customer first. It's how they operate. Also, employees are free to state their mind. The management is open to feedback and makes a conscious effort to listen and address any concerns. Last but not the least, because you are rarely staffed on just one project, there is opportunity to learn and come up to speed on multiple areas of salesforce as well as industries.
While there is freedom to pursue and learn new skills and earn certifications, a lot of that happens if you are self-motivated. There is limited push from the organization to drive that at the org... level.
Advice to Management
Salesforce is growing at a phenomenal pace. Encourage employees to get up to speed and remain updated on the latest functionality and releases. As salesforce SMEs, clients often turn to us for advice... and guidance and we should equip ourselves to do so, based on not what we already know, but what's the latest and the greatest.
