I worked at VNS Health
Pros
VNS Health genuinely cares about supporting its employees, providing professional development opportunities, and embodies its three core values of empathy, integrity, and agility.
Cons
The graduate-level internships are generally unpaid opportunities.
I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time for less than a year
Pros
Base salary at the Weill Cornell campus is one of the highest in Manhattan with opportunities to supplement income with education, certifications, and shift differentials. Management is engaged and... responsive. Compared to other hospitals I've worked at, I'm very glad I made the switch.
Cons
It's still bedside nursing during a Pandemic. COVID has decimated staffing everywhere and ratios can still be a challenge. Although management deserves credit for actively working to hire more staff... and improve day-to-day working conditions.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work on hiring and continuing to work toward safe staffing ratios for both staff and patients.
