Current Contractor - Smart Home Professional

I have been working at Vivint Smart Home for more than a year

Pros

Amazing leadership that teach you how to do the job effectively. Work for 3-4 months of the year, and then travel with the company around the world (Thailand, Mexico, Hawaii, etc.) INSANE pay!... Enough that my spouse and I don't work the rest of the year and live extremely well.

Cons

It's a hard job, no doubt. But if you're going to do door-to-door, you're crazy to go anywhere but Vivint. I've had friends who worked with other companies door-to-door, and they all eventually... either putter out, or end up coming to Vivint wishing they had made the switch sooner.

I have been working at VSG Vision Security Group

Pros

Very flexible. Good personnel department that will work with you. The security officer work here is more interesting and varied. Did more than just typical security work. Learned lots of new skills... here.

Cons

Relief officers could be treated better. The company seems to be reluctant to move its relief officers into permanent positions when they become available. Despite the service these relief officers... have give the company, often at very short notice.

Advice to Management

Provide relief officers with better career advancement opportunities.
