Former Intern - Setpoints and Controls

I worked at Westinghouse for less than a year

Pros

Great location. The group was really interested in what I wanted to work on and giving me meaningful work. Interesting intern events.

Cons

Didn't collaborate with other interns on projects.

Buyer / Procurement

I have been working at Westinghouse Government Services

Pros

Best paying job in a relatively small town. As an M&O of a government site the job security is stable.

Cons

It's basically a government job with way too many levels of management. The room for advancement is only open when someone dies.

Advice to Management

Do a true evaluation of work loads of their employees. It's a 'government job' that has about 40% too many employees. There are many dedicated employees that are not being utilitzed to their... fullest potential.
