Former Intern - Digital Properties

I worked at World Vision International for less than a year

Pros

- great mentorship, networking and space for professional development - was able to travel internationally - good experience with the entire intern cohort

Cons

- the programme is based out of LA, so other locations do not get the full experience of meeting people/attending workshops in person (many things were over conference call) - My stipend covered gas... (barely got paid, but was able to travel)

Advice to Management

- raise internship salaries - create more opportunities to travel and see more of the work first-hand

Current Employee - Software Developer

I have been working at Compassion International full-time for more than a year

Pros

Good pay (especially for non-profit) Good benefits Care about work/life balance

Cons

Some workplace drama/dysfunction depending on your manager/department.
