Current Employee - LIfe Guard

I have been working at YMCA full-time for less than a year

Pros

The position and it benifits.

Cons

Members and the small children.

Former Intern - Social Intern

I worked at CTARA for less than a year

Pros

Very interesting live projects are given Include trips to rural areas within Maharashtra or you could choose your hometown Travel expenses are reimbursed IIT professors at your disposal to give a... very strong knowledge base and technical support If your product is innovative it will be rewarded and recognised accordingly If you perform very well some private companies give you a direct job offer without any process

Cons

No cons in particular but you need to have a lot of patience and real motivation for doing social service. There is no stipend given, but all real expenses would be re imbursed.

Advice to Management

Need to take really motivated people for doing social services and filter out the people applying just for the heck of it.
