By the 1930s, our membership reached 30,000. During World War II, we automatically renewed policies for members serving abroad. In 1969, we welcomed our 1 millionth member. By 2000, we were online and available to service members from all branches of the military. We’ve continued to evolve and adapt to meet the ever-changing needs of the military community. Today, we’re honored to serve over 13 million members – those currently serving, veterans, and their families. Our headquarters remain in San Antonio. Over the course of our more than 100-year history, we’ve expanded to seven other cities in the U.S. and three international locations to better serve our growing membership.
