Pros

You get to listen to good music on the sales floor, and wear what you pretty much want.

Cons

The owner Eric, has questionable moral and ethical skills. The compensation for work is not on par with the amount pf work being done, the commission rates are not competitive which drives down work ethic. Upfront the company puts on a façade of being fair when behind closed doors there are unprofessional techniques and behaviors from the employees. The techniques include lowballing, being intrusive and misleading, along with favoritism. The hiring process is not transparent and causes disconnect between employees. This makes it hard to develop an atmosphere of trust and teamwork. The employees filling the part time positions are overworked during their shift, all while having to keep up with commission, in order to keep hours low. The District Managers do not engage with the employees in a beneficial manner that can build the company as a whole. This has more to do with their inexperience. If you are coming from a bigger, or establish company, you will notice. There is a high turnover rate, and lack of empathy in the company. Growth in the company only comes because of turnover. Over all I do NOT recommend this company, I have 15 years in retail and the opportunity to work for a “young” (20 year old) company, was exciting. I was extremely disappointed with what I discovered, and honestly I stayed way long then what I should have.

Advice to Management

Be transparent! And do better! The fact that people have been complaining about the professionalism and the working environment and nothing has been done about it shows your priorities!

This makes it hard to develop an atmosphere of trust and teamwork.
