Does Abercrombie & Fitch offer massages?

Pros

- generous PTO (23 days for full-time, 28 days after 4 years with the company) - summer half days (6 additional half-days for use during the summer, doesn't count as PTO) - beautiful cafe with delicious, reasonably priced food (and a roaring fire in the wintertime). sleek, modern office in the woods. - friendly, smart, engaging people, who will quickly become your friends outside of work. even when super busy, working with these people rarely felt like a job, more like a college study group at the library with your hardworking friends - regular happy hours, with free drinks provided by the company (usually after quarterly meetings), holiday party - casual corporate culture, relaxed dress code, can wear basically whatever you want (most employees are 20s or 30s, aside from senior managers) - 40% employee discount -- great for gifts! - company supports you in your interests -- i was interested in a different team than i was hired in (a lateral move), and managers made transitioning a priority. doing what you're interested in, is encouraged (to a certain extent).

Cons

difficult to grow beyond the role you're in, which is why i eventually left, despite the many perks. i wanted to move from marketing to IT, but HR made this difficult for not only me, but my coworkers. these higher-qualification positions felt gate-kept, despite years of proving value at the company in other roles. i eventually left after being offered a career-building role elsewhere. i miss A&F all the time (worked here for 4 years), but i don't regret leaving. if you get a job here, enjoy it, but don't allow the perks to keep you complacent in your career.

Advice to Management

please focus on upward mobility for your long-time employees!

Does Abercrombie & Fitch offer dental insurance?

Pros

This company offers good Health, Vision, and Dental benefits. The 8 hour work days aren't too bad If you have a good management team around you the work will be really easy. You have the potential to get small raises based on your performance.

Cons

There are major communication problems throughout the company, especially when they are trying to convey 6 conflicting expectations for each store. There is a lot of favoritism in this company, usually a District Manager will choose a select group of store managers that will receive their upmost attention while the rest is put on the back-burner. If you have a bad management team expect to work long hours, come in on your days off, doing most of the store's tasks by yourself, making decisions well above your pay-grade, and dealing with disgruntled customers. If you do not immediately take credit for the work you have done or positive changes you have made to store, someone else will take it. This makes it harder for you as an employee to get into the good graces with your boss.

Advice to Management

This is a good starter job to have coming out college. However, unless you have a strong desire to stay with Abercrombie & Fitch, I would continue to look for the other employment options.

This company offers good Health, Vision, and Dental benefits.
