Pros
Somehow, they were able to get good people that believe in what they were doing, but only temporarily because those smart people would eventually realize how badly they were being treated.
Cons
The owner won't let good management do their job. He also treated employees as if they should be grateful to have a job when really, he should be grateful people want to work for him. Nobody stayed for long. Everyone was led on with broken promises and they always leave disgruntled.
Advice to Management
The owner should take a "hands-off" approach with his people. He's not into treating people right so he should be involved with human capital.

Pros
I could work independently without people always nosing around my business even the manager didn't meddle around.
Cons
The extreme pressure at work was TERRIBLE and UNBEARABLE! Our manager didn't even offer any support and was HORRIBLE at his job! When we should be trained by him, he should also be trained with leadership and management! That way, work stress might lessen, as well as exhausted employees!

Pros
Some genuinely great people to work and hang out with within and outside the office. There were also free coffee and free food sometimes.
Cons
The company should be ashamed of pretending to have a "Learning and Development" department. Once you're in, you'll be expected to attend some cookie-cutter training that teaches you no industry skills whatsoever. Doesn't matter though, since you're only expected to work on the back-office paper pushing, with no or little training that is needed.
Advice to Management
Direct some resources to your talents. Invest in them, give them the pay that they deserved and the training that they need to improve themselves, and therefore, they can contribute to the success of the company.
