What is working from home like at Appriss?

Pros

Work is focused on providing help, support, resources, and information for communities, government, organizations with opportunity to make things better. It's meaningful work. The expanding and evolving leadership is growth minded and interested in building an educated, strong, and thought leadership culture. This is an exciting challenge to help raise talent level. This leadership is very engaged, visible and communicative with all levels of organization. The culture is flexible for remote work and in general.

Cons

Still a lot of legacy and long standing platforms, customer mindset/expectations, and team members. Change and challenging to think differently [almost radically] to drive new outcomes or avoid status quo can be slow and difficult. The amount of work expected to support legacy product and customer retention goals in addition to growth at odds with resources available to do the work. A lot of fire drills without systems or lower level team members that can handle. Compensation model and how to promote/earn more unclear and feels like top performers not rewarded.

Advice to Management

Continue to be actively engage with teams and push to bring business focus, goals, prioritization, and high performance expectations to organization so can continue to grow.

The culture is flexible for remote work and in general.
