What are perks and other benefits like at Arminco?

Pros

I had no idea what was behind the doors when I walked into the offices. The location is premium, right by the Dulles Town Center. Easy access to just about any store or restaurant you might want. The people are great. They are very down to earth and have a good time. The work can be very taxing at times but it is very rewarding once you're finished. I'm really enjoying my time working here.

Cons

Some of the benefits are a bit lagging but that will get better with their continued growth.

Advice to Management

You're doing a great job. Keep the lines of communication open because that's a problem area when there is rapid growth. Don't lose sight of what is making you great.

Does Arminco offer unlimited time off?

Pros

Coworkers are really good people

Cons

This is not a professional place to work at. Their work process changes everyday and it does not apply to every project. Upper management does not have any respect for their employees. The environment is really toxic since it seems like they put their employees against each other. Very negative vibe around. You will work extra hours including weekends and holidays to assist to their events or attend clients but there is not flexibility for the employees when they need time off.

How are senior leaders perceived at Arminco?

Pros

You can learn a lot since its a small company. For the most part people are nice .. opportunity to move departments but at a price so there you have to be carful.

Cons

I would say the majority of the long term employees are all family or middle eastern. Its a cultural thing. They live to work not work to live. If you are a work/life balance person I would say this is not a good fit. They monitor your internet access, put you in a box 8-5 and do not allow work from home unless you have an exceptional one off situation. Management spends too much time training because of turnover then they do building business. The amount of time reinventing the process has consumed upper management and taken precious time away from business.

Advice to Management

Be patient with current employees instead of having unrealistic expectations in such a niche industry and turning people over and spending so much time retraining over and over. The amount of time spent retraining new employees is precious time that business is Being neglected. Another large issue that was discussed by many employees was Micro managing and too many cooks in the kitchen . Just let people do their jobs. They can fly if you let them. But you have to let them.....
