Pros
Income. Free coffee. Water. Calendars. Hat
Cons
Management. No life/work balance. Attendance policies. Long, unnecessary hours.
Advice to Management
I've given plenty of advice to management over the years. It's an absolute waste of time. Corporate greed has taken over this country for the last 40+ years and now we're reaping what has been sown. Does BNSF Railway have a pension plan?
Pros
Very good 401k match, corporate environment, big company environment, before removing the pension compensation was good.
Cons
No pension, significantly reduced bonus, poor merit raises, massive attrition, high workloads ,leadership is solely focused on managing up to Berkshire, huge pay for the executive team, endless equal opportunity training/pointless woke culture.
Advice to Management
There is more to corporate leadership than being 'woke'. Stop stripping financial benefits from employees. It is obvious that you're bleeding the salaried work force to pay Berkshire. Realize that pay is lower than stated on paper, due to the employee Railroad Retirement contribution. Salaries are not as competitive as they seem.
