How is management perceived at Balsam Brands?

Pros

- Peers and managers are less toxic compared to other companies - Yearly salary reviews are conducted, there aren't always substantial raise but they review - The company tries its best to provide additional seasonal perks during this covid season

Cons

- Career development, performance improvement, and overall team member retention programs need work - Pay isn't be the most competitive in the market - There appears to be a more organic way management works, the more tenured you are the better it is for you, otherwise keep your head down and things will work out - There are some double standards, for example certain things team members can't get away with but managers can

Advice to Management

- Work on more competitive benefits / not perks - Improve your programs on retention, performance improvement, and career development

Is Balsam Brands a good company to work for?

Pros

People are friendly. The company was growing so you have opportunities to take up lots of challenges.

Cons

The management team is not capable of managing the growth of the company. Hiring new people in manager level that are not competent and a good fit to culture. Lots of long-term employees are not capable of being in the leader position but got promoted anyway just because they had been with the company for a long time.
