Pros

Relaxed environment, lots of skilled workers who are more than happy to share what they know.

Cons

Extremely unorganized. There is no structure or workflow, its very "lets wing it" style. They routinely exploit juniors and take advantage of their desire for work experience until they burnout and quit. Management are quick to blame the workers when something goes wrong instead of working as a team to listen and resolve the issue. Really feels like the owners see the workers as a means to an end as apposed to human beings.

Advice to Management

Treat your staff like human beings. Not tools to get a job done so you can get your paycheck. Many other freelancers I know have sworn off working at Blockhead and are working elsewhere. You are burning far too many bridges.

Friendly, good project, helpful, understanding, good location

Cons

Management is a little out of the place and they try to bargain a lot. They expect you to take responsibilities and when asked for a fair pay they don't accept it. They asked to come back a number of times but never actually happened. I plan and make myself available but the projects get cancelled last minute. Not a good communicator.

Advice to Management

Be more professional and transparent about your needs and expectations.
