Pros

Very flexible work from home opportunities Attire is very casual Everyone commutes so issues associated with commuting are well understood Networking between business divisions is encouraged There’s an enormous opportunity to receive training

Cons

Everyone is at the beckon call of consulting companies and leadership predominantly values what consultants advise Favoritism is prevalent and impacts trust

Advice to Management

The employees at HCSC are great people who are smart and caring and work hard for the most part, and have the organization’s best interests at heart. It would be great to see their solutions implemented toward key issues impacting the core business of the company.

Pros

Great benefits with PTO, 401K, HSA, FSA. Wellness Rewards. Community Volunteer. Advocates health, standing desk.Annual Bonus based performance. Flexible 8 hours 6am to 6pm.

Cons

Very high standards. Must meet 95 to 99% accuracy. Some overtime on every other weekends.

Advice to Management

A little compliment goes a long way

How flexible is your schedule working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas | HCSC?

Pros

decent pay, raise yearly, chance for bonuses, can't beat the health/vision/dental benefits, 401k and pension, flex time, work from home opportunity

Cons

can tend to be a negative work environment, but you just have to decide what you allow in and be grateful for what you have.

Advice to Management

the management I think was part of the issue when I was there has recently retired and it seems to have changed completely for a lot of people. to bad that didn't happen when i was still there.
