Pros
Great doctors! They are knowledgeable, have high standards, provide quality veterinary care, and are a pleasure to work with. They follow the NC Veterinary Practice Act in that only veterinarians or registered technicians administer and monitor anesthesia. Current staff all work well together.
Cons
Low pay compared to other local animal hospitals. Perpetually understaffed with more and more experienced people leaving. Some members of management tend to ignore concerns from employees and many problems are overlooked or excused. Management chastises employees for things beyond their control. Employees don't feel heard or appreciated. Lack of appropriate medical knowledge/training with management yet they are evaluating and making decisions.
Advice to Management
Listen to your employees and look in to complaints/concerns and address them. If it turns out to not be a legitimate concern then explain why instead of ridiculing them for bringing it to your attention. Show more appreciation for your employees and concern for their wellbeing. Offer competitive pay to attract more employees and keep the ones you have.
