Pros

Good cause with the 10 dollar for one meal thing. Some of the employees/management are nice.

Cons

Applying for full time isn’t happening. No benefits unless you’re management. Not enough pay for the very minimal hours they give you. Your “employee discount “ is only 30% at least when I was there. They don’t encourage military discount because that “interferes” with sales goal.

Advice to Management

Stop gate keeping pay and hours, as well as picking favorites. Keep professional.

No benefits unless you’re management.

Pros

Great team and coworkers within the company, decent benefits, good bonuses made for sales goal, philanthropic company

Cons

Lack of training and consistency, low salary overall and low wages for anyone who isn’t a store manager, was either micromanaged or totally left alone depending on DM, not much room to grow as there was no step above SM

Pros

Direct positive impact on your community as well as nationwide through the companies partnership with Feeding America. Amazing communication with DM, Regional Manager, and Corporate employees. SPECTACULAR product that stays up to date with current trends and the company loves to hear feedback on product whether it is positive or negative. Staffing goals and hours are coherent with tasking/traffic trends. Also, the customers are so cool, I’ve met so many people with different backgrounds and interests!! Full time employees receive multiple low cost insurance options and great vacation benefits. Lastly, BoxLunch even allocates hours for training and volunteering.

Cons

Heavy traffic during holidays, but this is common for any retail environment.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work!

Events
BoxLunch made its official debut at Anime Expo earlier this month with an elevated assortment of anime merchandise. Fans descended upon the booth each day to shop our exclusive merchandise. We also premiered two of our newest collaborations: Hello Kitty x Fruits Basket (full assortment launching this August) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto (entire capsule launching spring ’23). Attendees were the first to purchase exclusive teaser tees from these exciting new collections. Anime Expo was a blast and we can’t wait until next year!
