The work is amazing. The vision of the company is really inspiring. The founders are really nice and have recruited a lot of talented people. They try to foster cohesion and give a lot of opportunities to grow.

Cons

The management is constantly changing their mind. One minute they want you to do one experiment and the next they want something totally different. It is a start up, but I think you should respect people’s talents and tell them when switching gears and what the purpose of the switch is. Also, the growing pains are very painful. Trying to get equipment and the support to do your job was rough. You are constantly wondering if you’re going to get fired if you aren’t getting results fast enough even though you are literally building things to do your job because you don’t have the proper equipment.

Advice to Management

Let the people that you hired do their job. Trust them to get the outcome you want instead of micromanaging. Everyone is busting their butt because they believe in the company and what it stands for.
