People are great, very appreciative. Colleagues very invested in their work, but fun to hang out with. Sports: running, biking, hiking, snorkle, scuba, kite sailing, standup paddle, tennis, soccer.

Cons

Very hot, even though 83 degrees year round, heat index more like 100 degrees due to humidity and intensity of the sun. Second world type living, slow recovery from 2 major cyclones in past 6 years. Limited shopping, but all the basics available.

Offer incentives for people to stay longer past their contract times.

Fairly small hospital. It's good to go there and learn, if you're just starting.

Cons

Head nurses that are not really helpful. No Overtime payment. No weekend differentials. POOR management. Unhelpful coworkers. Unfair duty assignments. Seniors eating the youngs. Favoritism. Nepotism.

Advice to Management

Have a set salary for staffs, according to their experience and educational background. Give salary increase for those who deserve it.

Pros

Great to know how different from my country. I love working with people in English.

It was hard for me to get a CW visa. I had wait more than I expected.
