What is the salary like at CoverMyMeds?

Pros

One of the best things about CoverMyMeds is the people that are hired. I've met some of my closest friends through my workplace, and I wouldn't want it any other way. On a more personal level, the connection to our mission & they core values is really inspiring. It reminds me why we do the things we do each day, and it gives me good rules to take into my personal life as well. I've always felt valued by my leader, and hard work is recognized here.

Cons

Getting promoted is really competitive here at CoverMyMeds. They only promote the best of the best, and it might take a couple of years, but it's worth it in the end. As long as you are able to start working hard on day one, you'll succeed here. The only other thing is that things can get pretty "stressful" during our busy season, but I do feel supported throughout that time. As a leader, I do feel slightly undervalued when it comes to the pay scale when being a leader at the company, but the other perks are so good, it makes it hard to complain.

Advice to Management

Keep valuing your coworkers and team members, and don't ever stray from the core values and mission. Keep up the good work!

Does CoverMyMeds offer a weekly bonus?

Pros

-work-life balance -amazing coworkers -company values are very important/apparent in company -fun work environment -can work from home -free meals and snacks -clear expectations and flexible work schedule

Cons

-not room for growth -growth opportunities given to the same 7-9 people over and over (restructuring hasn't been very clear) -salary is low -no clear growth trajectory, even if you are a high performer -no bonuses for high performance

Advice to Management

-allow more opportunities for growth -provide employees a clear chart for such a thing -give opportunities to new employees, not the same individuals, which leads to another need for restructuring -keep the amazing culture -keep providing the same in-house benefits that keep employee spirits high and our desire to help others our focus -keep allowing employees to be themselves and fostering an environment of positivity, it's great

-no bonuses for high performance

What are other benefits and incentives like at CoverMyMeds?

Pros

CoverMyMeds has never waivered in its commitment to invest in people. Through massive company growth, a buyout, and COVID-19, they've continued to prioritize people and culture uniquely. There are consistent opportunities to stretch and grow professionally while working on once-in-a-lifetime projects. The culture has always been and continues to be genuine, in sharp contrast to the corporate environments of our parent company and sister businesses. There's certainly an opportunity for CoverMyMeds to positively influence and lead McKesson in that area. Flexibility is very important to me and I've never worked for a company where that was so ingrained in the culture. I never have to worry about scheduling appointments, taking time off, or flexing my work hours, even daily, because I'm trusted to get my work done and balance my family life.

Cons

In my experience, compensation is very low compared to the industry average, especially other tech companies, and titles are not consistent with job performance or the scope of responsibilities.

What are pay increases like at CoverMyMeds?

Pros

I have been with CoverMyMeds for about 4 1/2 months now and i feel like i've known all of my colleagues for years! I immediately felt comfortable acting myself in front of everyone. They really make you feel as if no question is a bad question, and everyone is very eager to teach you everything about CoverMyMeds. Another Plus is the Benefits. Having worked for other companies in Downtown Columbus area prior to CoverMyMeds, I know how expensive everything is. The fact that everything is Free (health care, parking, etc) you may as well consider it a $5,000 if not more Pay raise.

Cons

The only Con that i can even think of is that sometimes employees get so used to having good benefits, they forget how lucky we are to have some of the things that we do.
