Pros
Good hours, and you get most government holidays off. Some work from home opportunities but not for all positions or people.
Cons
Culture was amazing when I first started however it has shifted to more numbers driven and less about taking care of each other, our clients and patients. There are no advancement opportunities and moving departments is very difficult to almost impossible. They will tell you that advancement is an option but in reality the only advancement you can get is in your same roll- you will just move up from a I to II then III with little pay increase and added responsibilities. If you are good at your job be prepared to do not only your job but also that of your coworkers as they do not hold slackers accountable. We are held to arbitrary standards and "scorecards" that half of the metrics don't make sense and were only created to satisfy upper management's request.
Advice to Management
Reevaluate the "scorecard" method of rating your employees, or at least make sure that what you are rating them on is actually something within their control. Also focus on keeping and celebrating your current employees and see the obvious, if there are several people leaving and unhappy in one department, that should be a clue that something is happing.
