What are perks and other benefits like at DIY Media Group?

Pros

The benefits and the non management staff are great - Company decided to make Face Masks to help fight COVID

Cons

They have a higher manager making poor and biased decisions for the other managers and staff, and as a result many people were fired and laid off during this COVID pandemic. Multiple people I personally am close with, were some of the backbones of this company and wore many hats in the field. Now that they are gone not only do we need to cover for them, we have to do our jobs too. They also cut back on overtime so we can't get any of the work done.

Advice to Management

Take a look at the higher manager thats single-handedly screwing up your Book company - reach out to your former workers and offer them a position in the print shop making the COVID masks - Do something to boost your current workers because we are all scared that we may be next to get fired

How are career development opportunities at DIY Media Group?

Pros

Executive committee who cares about their employees and cultivating a community within the corporation. Always expanding product and growth opportunities when you put in a serious effort. Everyone is intelligent, qualified, and wonderful to work with. Great pay, great benefits, and always looking to create a better workplace environment for everyone.

Cons

Timelines can become intense, as can workload (when things happen at the same time). There can be an issue of 'focus' (meaning too many cooks in the kitchen on occasion that can detract from overall goals, but people work to keep on top of this).

Advice to Management

Managing expectations on how fast certain things can be turned around and how long some things take to take effect (or show effect). It's the learning curve of new technology, but everyone is constantly working to do better and learn more.

Always expanding product and growth opportunities when you put in a serious effort.
