Pros

I've experienced a seamless onboarding process, the recruiter reassured me by checking in as we waited for the client to respond, and the pay systems looks very user friendly. I am being compensated fairly. They also have gone the extra step to welcome me aboard.

Cons

I'm used to working at big companies where thousands of employees pay into the benefits pool and lower the prices due to economies of scale. I consider these benefits too expensive, but that's just my subjective opinion. You can judge for yourself because they are very transparent and post this information on their website (which I appreciate).

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing.

Pros

Good partner between the contract for hire company and myself Advocated higher pay increase when I asked them to Quick to respond to questions I had Payments are always on time Given important info when needed

Cons

Seemed to be unsupportive and shut me down when I asked about current MN Laws stating employers had to provide sick leave benefits regardless of whether the company provides any other benefits to contractors. I provided them it documentation and they quickly side skirted it. Saying I didn't work in Mpls or St. Paul because I lived in a suburb. But in actuality I worked many days in MPLS even though my contract stated remote work. I didn't want to fight them on technicalities but they came across very unsupportive which was a surprise to me. I was just inquiring. They just shut the question down without getting any more info.

Pros

After 7 months of unsuccessful job hunting, I partnered with Dahl Consulting and landed a very nice contract with a big corporation. Even after a small hiccup with a different agency had caused some confusion during the offer phase, my recruiter handled it well and sorted out the details swiftly, keeping me informed and in the loop. Very professional and helpful. Dahl checks in periodically to see how my assignment is going and to see if I need anything. I would trust Dahl again in the future, should I need more employment assistance.

Cons

No health benefits were offered to me. Not sure if this is because I'm a part-time contractor instead of a full-time one, but I don't think I was ever offered a health benefits package. Even though I am still considered a W2 employee. I've worked for other places that offer benefits, even to part-time employees (min. 20 hours/week). That's the only con I can think of.

Pros

Dahl Consulting has a great team ready to help you find your new job. They have excellent communication and are willing to go out of their way to find job positions that best suit your interests and strengths.

Cons

The only downside of working for Dahl rather than the actual company I work at, is not being able to receive the 'full-time' benefits that the company offers. Contracted benefits are still available, but they are just not the best.
