What is paid time off like at Dama Financial?

Pros

Part of a growing industry with lots of opportunity. Option to work from home and flexible PTO. Coworkers are generally nice, positive and have a drive to contribute to the success of the company. Autonomy to come up with new ideas or projects.

Cons

Dama is a FinTech with limited understanding of its own technology causing premature implementations and dependency on manual processes. Furthermore, the rudeness and lack of professionalism, followup, and accountability is appalling. There is absolutely no employee development because the only focus is onboarding as many accounts as possible even if that means cutting corners and encouraging employees to work as many hours as it takes to meet unrealistic goals. There is no annual review of performance and little to no feedback. While I believe they want to provide a great encompassing solution for the cannabis industry, leadership doesn't seem to have a concrete plan of growth or care about the mental health of the employees. There is also little to no career or salary growth.

Advice to Management

Hold people accountable, figure out realistic growth plan, hire more people, prioritize employee resources like manuals and training, find a better method for tracking and communicating success, and really take some time to understand what's working and what's not by listening to employees and customers.

Option to work from home and flexible PTO.
