What is the feeling of job security at Dialog Semiconductor?

Pros

There is nothing to add to this Pro field, but hopefully given this existence of the company on Glassdoor, Dialog Semiconductor personnel will carefully review each company rating for further evaluation.

Cons

This info is about one of the so-called Director and leaders at Dialog Semiconductor has to be known - she is the absolute WORSE supervisor I have ever seen. This reflects horribly for the company. She is rude, disrespectful, inconsiderate, irritable, condescending, arrogant and fake; Not kind; Not Compassionate: Not Sympathetic; Not Empathetic; Obviously incredibly selfish; Acts bossy because she “has the power;” She does have passion - passion for Power. She micromanages so much that I doubt she does any of her own actual job activities. If her subordinates were to step away from their desks for a few minutes, she immediately asks where they are going or went off to, and always shakes her head and then interrogates them when they come back to their post. She would stand up from her desk every other minute just to stare at each of her subordinates. That is ridiculous, where is the freedom and trust? The company is not a sweat shop. She expects the whole team to come into work and leave at the same time, whether they finish early or come in earlier, because “it is dangerous outside in the evening, in the dark, and we should walk in groups.” So, everyday, no, every night, her subordinates stay past 7/8 PM without over time pay just to walk to their own cars together?! What a waste of time and unfortunate for the respective families waiting for them at home. Her subordinates miss out on valuable family time working for her, because they don’t know better, or whatever their reason may be, but that is no way to treat them. There is no work/life balance, heck, there is no human equality under her authority. Does she not have anyone waiting for her at home or something, to “imprison” others to spend more time at work with her?… She would state and hear specific things and then act like she never said or heard them before and then questions where and why the aforementioned actions came from, without direction / instruction or approvals from her. Of course, in a yelling and mean tone - how senseless and degrading. She doesn’t communicate and listen to what others have to say, not even when they are trying to make her understand multiple ways, she only attacks in speaking. It illogical and because of that there is no speaking to her; it’s a waste of breath. People are individual contributors for a whole company goal, why the need to nit pick on every little thing - what an inefficient and ineffective habit. However, when she encounters her superiors, then she fakes her kindness towards them. Notice nothing above even described merely anything work related; she’s basically a prison warden. I have no idea what her background was causing her awful personality, or if she is reflecting the actions and traits of top management, or whether she is taking revenge on what life has thrown at her or simply to feel powerful, who knows, but nevertheless it is not right to take advantage of one’s authority to treat subordinates unfairly on a daily, all day, basis. Does that make her feel good? She probably thinks she is really cool. On the contrary. How can anyone like that sleep soundly and peacefully at night after treating people less than humans? Animals are treated better. Actually, her whole work ethic is perfect for her to be a prison warden. That would put her “talents” to good use for society, I suppose. People should be empowering each other to be even more successful; not just look out for one’s self for narcissistic recognization from above and not caring about others along the way.

Advice to Management

Please send evaluators, like secret shoppers who evaluate and review retail management for a long-term to review your management's treatment towards their employees for intrinsic value, work morale, and the ultimate success of your company.
