What is health insurance like at Diebold Nixdorf?
Pros
The people are great, and you'll build a lot of great relationships across the company. There is a cafeteria and a Starbucks on site. You'll get standard vacation time and sick pay. They also offer medical insurance, dental, and vision at the employees expense.
Cons
You're not able to work from home whatsoever. They're on a hiring freeze so when people leave, we don't replace them, but rather absorb the worload. They expect you to work overtime to make up for the unrealistic workloads you're given. They decided to take away our merit raises this year and since we're already working for minimal pay compared to industry standard, it's a kick in the teeth. They also don't want you to retire, because they revoked the 401(k) match "temporarily." Management is poor, they're not trained well to handle situations, and micro-management is the "normal" here. Good luck ever moving up and out, once you're in a chair, you're likely to stay there for a long time.
Advice to Management
Your opinions aren't always "right." Take time to listen to your employees ideas rather than forcing your ideas and ways down their throats. Treat people with respect, it will go a very long way. Also, working from home is not "bad" in every case. Occasionally working from home because you're sick should be allowed, seeing that every aspect of my job can be done from home.

Does Diebold Nixdorf offer housing assistance?
Pros
My manager and coworkers were all easy to get along with. The intern events that HR hosted were good. They generally scheduled about two events per rotation (i.e., semester). Including the housing stipend, the pay was decent. However, they only offered the housing stipend for students who lived considerably far from the headquarters. Without the stipend, the pay would be just a little on the lower side for my major. There were a lot of new technologies that I could learn, albeit not all of them were too interesting.
Cons
Since the company manufactures ATMs, it is likely that you'll be working on projects related to ATMs in some way. Unfortunately, as I found out during this internship, I'm not too interested in the field of banking or ATMs. As my intern experience was coming to an end, employee morale across the company was fairly low. The future of the company was uncertain since the company was financially unstable.
However, they only offered the housing stipend for students who lived considerably far from the headquarters.
