What is paid time off like at Diebold Nixdorf?

Pros

I can work remotely, and work with well-intentioned, hard-working, and diverse group of colleagues. Benefits are probably in line with a medium-sized banking company.

Cons

Everyone is overworked. Period. Frankly, I wish there was more transparency into what was I walking into during my interview process - it is chaos. I appreciate there is a lot of change happening right now, particularly within HR. But DN is in dire need of a cultural shift in tandem with the transformation. In my time here, I've observed more than a few colleagues giving presentations in virtual meetings while noticeably sick, to the point where they can barely speak. They can't even take time off to take care of themselves because of this rush to stand up a new HR model. By the CHRO's own admission, this transformation was originally supposed to be over 3 years, and it was condensed into less than a year? I have no idea why that decision was made, but it's been incredibly taxing on workers. My boss is also overworked and distracted. Based on previous experience, I'm used to weekly staff check-ins with boss and team - we've met maybe 3 times? I still barely understand what most of my direct team members do. That's on top of problems like no new hire onboarding, the extreme difficulty of getting any IT support, lack of insight into basic HR processes like requesting time off, no performance goals cascade (I barely understand why I was hired), etc. Maybe things will stabilize after August, but I have my doubts.

Advice to Management

I assume DN is paying Accenture for its services, yet Accenture seems to drive the decision making and support. Hold them accountable. And maybe rethink driving your employees into the ground in service of digital transformation. Change is always a challenge, but senior leadership should be servants to their employees.

Does Diebold Nixdorf offer relocation assistance?

Pros

They have an excellent benefits package. They provide vehicle and cellphone and tools. Extensive training to stay viable in the industry. Opportunity to travel.

Cons

Required on call can be a bit much and no Christmas bonuses of any kind.

Advice to Management

Cutting cost should be top down instead of bottom first. If there are issues that need to be addressed at the technician level, focus on one issue at a time until it is resolved. Avoid flavor of the week style problem solving.

They have an excellent benefits package.

Does Diebold Nixdorf offer dental insurance?

Pros

The only pros for this job is that the company is hurting for qualified service technicians which at this point guarantees a job without fear of termination (this is current and prior to the OSHA MANDATE OF COVID SHOT. This may not be the case after Jan 4 2022)

Cons

The company has lost focus on their service members. The company has taken a true turn for thw worst. There are no additional benefits to the this job other than standard medical, dental, vision insurance. Annual salary increases and cost of living adjustments are a joke even with the company making wonderful profits. The company had lost the mindset that if they take care of their employees, then the employees will take care of the company. All focus is centered on corporate management and their pay/bonuses at the expense of their lower level management and the field staff.

Advice to Management

Get focused back on the staff that actually makes this company profitable. Without the field staff this company would not be where its at. Diebold would have been much better off of they would not taken on the management of the failing company that they purchased (Wincor Nixdorf). WN was failing due to the poor business practices of their management. What sain purchaser would maintain failed management Nd place them in key roles? This has deteriorated Diebold unlike any other business decision that they have made during my 16 year tenure.

There are no additional benefits to the this job other than standard medical, dental, vision insurance.
