How is the work/life balance at DocuSign?

Pros

Good benefits, decent office, volunteer day is great, work life balance is pretty good

Cons

No transparency from management, favoritism consumes the sales org, unhealthy and uninspiring competition, no opportunity for growth beyond a linear track, pay is lower than most SDR/BDR SaaS positions, questionable selling values

Advice to Management

Take ownership when your ideas don’t go right, equal discipline/reward across the board...even for management, value your employees - those who are doing well and want to continue in the company are overlooked, stop hiring more people and focus on growing the good talent you already have, pay your employees a better base or be more realistic about goal setting and enablement

How flexible is your schedule working at DocuSign?

Pros

I have never before worked with a company with such a clear vision of direction, including clarity on how they intend to get there. It is hard not to be inspired by the outlook of the company and its fantastic employees. Upper management is very accessible. As a new hire about a month in, I have already had several casual (and comfortable) conversations with a few C-levels (including the CEO); they really are in touch with their employees at all levels of the organization. No ivory tower syndrome that I have seen elsewhere. Docusign treats employees very well, with great perks and flexibility (which might vary by department). Every day I come to work, I'm eager and motivated to play my role in building excellent software that really makes a difference for our clients.

Cons

They are hiring a lot right now. The onboarding process is a bit overburdened. It took longer than expected to get up and running with hardware and software. However, the format new hire orientations and bootcamps have been fantastic.

Advice to Management

Your willingness to engage with employees does not do unnoticed. Keep that mentality.
