How is diversity at E. & J. Gallo Winery?
Pros
Respectful coworkers that create good work environment
Cons
I hardly think the Glassdoor rank means anything, but it's heavily advertised during recruitment. They treat their employees with a lot of respect, but your chances of upward mobility are very slim if you don't know the right people. There is a great deal of nepotism and favoritism in the company, reflected by the lack of diversity in upper management positions. The company does provide great benefits for their employees but no health insurance for their interns or seasonal workers, even during a global pandemic. And I know for fact harvest season wouldn't happen without them and they are their lowest-paid employees. Gallo is trying to establish a monopoly that is destroying many unique small wineries in California. The central valley is not a pleasant area.
Advice to Management
Recruitment team and HR, I think employee retention metrics and other data speak louder than superb Glassdoor reviews

Cons

Advice to Management
Recent shift in work culture has strayed from Gallo's core value. Covid and Hong Kong's situation has had an impact. Morale is at an all time low.
