Pros

There is some exceptional talent The mission by its word alone is inspiring The benefits are excellent The people team is very approachable

Cons

The marketed culture of the company does not reflect the experience as an employee, at least within Clinical Operations. Opportunities for growth are currently non-existent because of the inability to get approval from senior leadership for advancement. The work is being performed at a pace that is extremely risky and there is not enough essential process in place to ensure proper quality management of studies. The are pockets of extremely toxic behavior in Clinical Operations. This includes gossip, finger pointing, bullying, and is an overall complete waste of time and energy.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees or they will leave. Consider the impact of delays on decision making for resources, vendors, and employee advancement. Get ahead of toxic behavior. Remove individuals at the root of the issue. Spend face to face time working through issues rather than forcing toxic positivity Assess the realistic resource needed to execute clinical trials and listen to experienced leaders. Precious money is being wasted on poor program governance and slow decision making. Allow time for teams to build infrastructure before expecting a modern version of clinical operations. Understand the highly regulated environment of clinical trials and the risk associated with pushing the boundaries of GCP.

Pros

100% remote and really good benefits

Cons

Company is very political. Its all about push back and who gets the last word. There is no career path and they are more worried about penny saving than executing.

Pros

The people here are top notch. Smart, compassionate and truly passionate about our mission and culture. We are virtual first - and I think leaderships try hard to make as much balance for life's many happenings. The benefits are also the best I have ever had in my career. There is a real focus on inclusion and I love the Tapestory project - they even just sent me a personalized frame of my artwork.

Cons

This is an early stage company and with that can be a lot of hard work. I knew what I signed up for, but its definitely not for everyone. If you like the huge company environment where everyone kind of stays in their lanes then EQRx might not be best for you. For me the challenge is awesome, and I feel recognized and appreciated much more than in prior experiences.

Pros

It is virtual first environment - so there is a ton of trust from day one to do your job with little to no micromanagement. A fantastic leadership team, a truly inclusive and impressive culture and best benefits package I have ever had.

Cons

Some groups, because it is virtual first, might have different situations - but from what I can see it is really an outlier.

Pros

Great benefits. Ability to work from home.

Cons

They focus more on creating an image of what it is like to work at EQRx than actually creating that environment. The actual culture is nothing like the cute LinkedIn videos they post. Employees are burned out and stressed trying to meet unrealistic goals. Upper management is clearly aware but doesn't seem to care.

Advice to Management

Value, trust and respect the people who work for you, or they will not work for you for long.
