What are perks and other benefits like at Ease?

Pros

When the company started, it was a bootstrapping environment where you really managed and executed on your projects fully, providing great learning opportunities. However since the company has grown and poor middle management has come in, some of that autonomy has been taken away. The business model is set up to be very successful, there is opportunity to really make money and grow the company + revenue, but the leadership lacks clarity and agreement on long term vision.

Cons

The benefits offerings are unclear There is a lot of gossip that travels fast Middle management is poor There is mistrust of the executive board to deliver on discussed action items There is mistrust in HR It operates like a small company, when there are now over 200 employees There has been an increased amount of turn over

Advice to Management

Invest in management courses, and require them for anyone who manages a team. It’s important to build and regain the trust of the HR department.

What is health insurance like at Ease?

Pros

Company listened to concerns employees had and gave raises and hired more people PTO is good Team atmosphere Competitive pay Bonuses

Cons

Health benefits could be a little better. They contribute but not very good health plans

Advice to Management

I was rather discouraged with Ease over the last 18 months but they have taken the right steps to improve employee moral and happiness. Keep doing what you’re doing and the company will go places.

Health benefits could be a little better.

What is the retirement plan like at Ease?

Pros

Nice mid-level management. 401k contribution.

Cons

ZERO work-life balance, constantly under-staffed in all departments, no sense of “team” among departments. Constant finger-pointing. Half of my days are spent doing things not in my job description and there is no payment for them. The Support team needs WAY more staffing because the rest of the company is impacted by this. Ease terminated its top employees at the beginning of the pandemic (at a time when our product was in high demand) and the whole company is still suffering as a result. There is also very little internal training on the product itself.

Advice to Management

Pay your employees better. Hire more staff. Stop pretending like you care about a work/life balance while constantly overworking your employees. Stop allowing your marketing team to put out announcements that will impact the rest of the company without informing staff internally first. Finally, promote internally!

401k contribution.
