What are perks and other benefits like at EchoNous?

Pros

Some of the engineers I worked with were incredibly talented and dedicated. The products I worked on were really interesting. The facility is really nice and clean.

Cons

Technicians are treated as second class citizens. The EchoNous careers page boasts that the company offers unlimited vacation and equity as part of your pay package, but those benefits are not extended to lowly technicians. There is an extremely bad upstairs (software and business folks) vs. downstairs (the people who put stuff together) mentality at this company. Technicians come out on the losing end. Do not DARE bring to up problems in any of the work cells. When it comes to lean manufacuturing, EchoNous talks the talk but definitely does not walk the walk. Keep your mouth closed if you want any kind of career here. Their internal software story is awful. When I was there, the regulatory documentation travelers were entirely on paper, which was a nightmare. They were just starting to transition to an online system when I left, but it was a piece of junk. They were being really cheap in this effort, so don't expect this part of your job to be easy (and regulatory paperwork will be a HUGE part of your job -- not fun). The market space for their products is getting crowded. Everyone and their dog are building AI-driven ultrasound solutions now, and EchoNous doesn't have any kind of a lead on the competition.

Advice to Management

Treat all your employees equally. Don't jump all over employees who bring up problems in the work cells.
