The new management has been been comically bad. They pat themselves on the back everyday, but everyone that works at or with enfusion, including our clients, see how far things have fallen in the 9 months since our new CEO came on. People used to talk about “hubris” among the Development team, but the hubris of the new management has blown that out of the water. They came in and replaced or marginalized every single person who built the company to what it is today. The current decision makers offer literally nothing. They are capable of nothing other than exerting downward pressure. They simply do not understand the business. While they sit around and say pretty words about scalability and institutionalization, it’s people at the AVP, associate, and analyst level that are actually providing any value and moving the client experience forward. We’ve gotten the worst parts of corporate bureaucracy with none of the benefits. On the people side, I’ve never seen such horrible management of people. The “market salary reviews” to align salaries with the wider market was announced in spring 2020 and has yet to occur.. The “rotational programs” that HR promised to expose analysts to different lines of business are yet to even start to materialize. We were told all year that business had never been better, and then got tiny bonuses as “we didn’t meet revenue goals” (none of which were published). Career progression, which used to be a huge selling point, is no longer merit based, as HR now mandates tenure requirements regardless of the functional responsibility individuals have taken on. The work life balance is so poor that the CEO chooses to address this by sending an insulting emails thanking us for our passion and excellence and giving us a “free” PTO day, while doing NOTHING to compensate us for the work OR address the issues that force us to work 12 hour days. Meanwhile, The discussions about actual “PTO improvements” lead to a policy change that only benefits people with 5+ years of experience (hint - that is less than 10% of the company). Without fail, every week, management makes a decision behind closed doors that communicates very clearly their pure disdain for their employees.

Advice to Management

Speak to anyone at the AVP level or below and LISTEN with an honest ear. The culture you have built genuinely DISGUSTS pretty much anyone who’s been here long enough to see what the company used to be, even the people that got promoted and benefited from all the transitions this year. Hire some ANALYSTS that can actually help us meet client needs. If you don’t have the BUDGET for it, take just one look at the 15+ VP’s and Directors that you have hired in the last year they have done NOTHING other than marginalize the people that built this company. Tarek - if you are reading this, we need you back!

What started as an exciting technology company with a start-up feel is quickly starting to feel more like a finance company where employee morale is being traded for budget cuts and new executives. While we used to have free Friday lunches, happy hours, and company outings, for the last year we’ve been sent home with nothing but our laptops and expected to perform more work with less resources and no semblance of those tech company perks that drew many of us to Enfusion in the first place. Additionally, there seems to be no intention to extend WFH flexibility post pandemic despite industry norms and employee preferences. I think it is possible that new employees may be content so long as they come in with the expectation that they are joining a company run more like a finance firm than a technology company. It’s just the legacy employees that are struggling to adjust to the new normal.

I was drastically underpaid, Management made awful decisions in 2020, work/life balance was tremendously toxic. I have all good things to say about everyone that started before COVID-19 who actually built the company. But once the world went into a pandemic it opened the door to the most greedy and low morale individuals I've ever worked with. There are a lot of BRILLIANT people at Enfusion, that feel the same way, but can't express it.
