Allow employees to apply for new positions before offering them to outside candidates. Additionally, you should consult the bottom-level workers before making sweeping changes that affect their job functions and workloads.

Does Forbes offer a yearly bonus?

Pros

Very professional environment. Some companies micromanage young professionals but I find I have a lot of freedom to conduct myself in my way which helps keeps days less stressful. My manager is also great!

Cons

Very small bonus last year, far less than my previous company. Very rigid in promotion structure (this won't work, too many other companies will give the title/salary people want without them having to wait).

Advice to Management

If young talent has proven themselves, don't make them wait. In todays fast paced environment, if you make someone go get an offer for a salary/title they deserve, why would they even listen to a matching offer?

Summer Friday Wellness Bonus 5% 401K Match

Cons

The CTO and CPO have both been at the company for over 10 years (CPO is at 23) and it shows, in the worse way imaginable. The wisdom of Bruce Wayne rings true here. Teams structuring is just goofy, no autonomy, and worse there's no alignment amongst the leadership team. If you made it through the first round of interviews, I'm sure you're a highly sought-after, skilled professional with different employment options. I'm here to tell you to take the other options, the experience you're looking for is not at Forbes.

Advice to Management

Have a plan before you staff Align on goals for the quarter, the year, and next 5 years Find executives who have experience in the industry and can set a vision that motivates and excites your employees.
