How are senior leaders perceived at Freshworks?

Pros

1. The CEO is a visionary and had built a great work culture in the initial days Freshworks. However, a great many bad Managers have ruined that presently 2. There are still a few great managers in the company who continue to build Freshworks as a Market Leader and if you get to work with them you will learn and grow a lot professionally. however these managers are very few and greatly outnumbered by bad/pathetic managers. 3. Lots of career opportunities post leaving Freshworks

Cons

1. Managers repeatedly dehumanize their direct reportees. They use derogatory language and even explicit gestures to demean juniors publicly 2. Managers are very adept at being critical but can never justify the criticism with proper reasoning or offer any advise of improvement 3. Literally every office party, Managers make a fool of themselves by drinking so much that they loose control of themselves. Female employees feel insecure in their presence. And, almost the remaining bit of respect that was there for these Managers is lost after seeing them in their drunk & disorderly state. 4. Employees who abstain from alcohol are cold-shouldered and considered as team outcasts by these Managers who make a grand show of drinking championship. 5. The inspiring company culture and values that the CEO had cultivated in the initial days of Freshworks has been completely tossed out by the current Managers.

Advice to Management

I really hope this message reaches the staff in charge of People Strategy- People join Freshworks literally in awe of the Organization and expect to work with exemplary professionals. However within a few weeks of joining the mediocrity of most managers becomes clear. Train/teach managers to uphold the work culture of Freshworks. Make it clear to the Managers that the whole purpose of their existence is to REMOVE hurdles, for the team to be productive and NOT BECOME a hurdle that stops the team from doing their best work
